WALTON, Ky. (Adam Clements) -- It's a program designed to keep you and your family safe on the roads, and it officially kicks off Thursday in northern Kentucky.
The fact of the matter is that you just can't control what other drivers are doing out on the road. That's why this two week initiative could make such a big deal in making sure you don't have to worry about reckless drivers.
It's pretty cut and dry, "drive sober or get pulled over."
Over the course of the next couple weeks, you're going to see a lot more local law enforcement agencies targeting drunk drivers, much heavier patrol units along the highways and interstates and DUI checkpoints.
Anything they can do to let you know that impaired driving won't be ignored.
Starting Thursday at 10:00 a.m. you'll be able to come down to the Bob Sumerel in Walton to have your vehicle checked out. You can get educated on how to properly install and use your child's car seat.
Drive sober or get pulled over runs from today until September first.
