Besiktas (Beşiktaş) is one of the most famous and loved by travelers around the world districts of Istanbul. It is located on the very shore of the Bosphorus, in the European part of the city.
Many tourists who come to Besiktas dream of looking at the Dolmabahce Palace, which became the residence of the Turkish sultans after the Topkapi Palace. However, plan to spend a little more time here to visit the Maritime Museum and Yildiz Park, which are also located here.
