Walden’s Ridge Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee is full speed ahead.
Our build crews have been on the ground since early October working on phase 2 of this unique addition to the Tennessee river valley.
Uncovering rock gardens on an advanced gravity line, compacting sections of the intermediate bidirectional trail experience, and sculpting in a hub that will jumpstart an advanced resort style jump section have been the highlights from the past week.
What you need to know about Walden’s Ridge Park:
➡️ The planning/design of the park was funded through our Trail Accelerator Grant program in partnership with the North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy (NCCC) and SORBA Chattanooga.
➡️ The IMBA Trail Solutions team has partnered with Southeast Climbers Coalition (SCC,) Land Trust for TN, Southeast Conservation Corps and Hamilton County Parks & Rec on this project.
➡️ Aside from this being the first bike park-style gravity riding in the area, the park also features sections of bouldering ranked by the SCC and shared-use paths for trail runners and hikers.
➡️ This landscape was meant for gravity riding experiences. The hillside drops 900 feet in elevation - perfect for chunky downhill and jump line experiences.
⚠️ Last, but certainly not least, this park is an active construction site and is not open to the public at this time. Stay tuned in for progress updates on this exciting project.
