CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — A car was engulfed in flames Monday night on Interstate 95 south near Route 10 in Cranston.
It happened around 8:15 p.m.
Rhode Island State Police told NBC 10 News that a woman was driving the car when it started smoking. She pulled into the breakdown lane as the fire worsened.
The woman escaped without injury.
