It was back to National League action for the Warriors when the Devils arrived at Smallbrook high in confidence having never previously lost to the Warriors on the Island. Top National League performer Adam Roynon lead a powerful Plymouth side with strong backup from Henry Atkins and former Warrior Nathan Stoneman whilst operating rider replacement for the injured Bradley Andrews. The Warriors were also a man down with Scott Campos missing through injury whilst Nick Lawrence stepped in to guest at reserve along with operating rider replacement.
