An underground world of caverns and tunnels has been discovered underneath Montréal in Canada .
Cave experts Daniel Caron and Luc Le Blanc discovered the new cave network on October 2 but the find was only recently announced after the site was secured.
The find which dates back to the Earth's last Ice Age and extends nearly 213 meters (700 feet).
“The walls are perfectly smooth and the ceiling is perfectly horizontal,” Le Blanc told National Geographic .
Although the discovery is recent, the speleologists' hunch started in 2014.
