In the 2016 Brazilian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen finished on the third step of the podium, coming in behind the Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. He staying at the front of the pack for a good portion of the race before being overtaken by the more experienced Mercedes drivers. He also managed to finish ahead of his Red Bull Racing teammates and rivals, Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel. This performance was considered one of his best of the season and helped solidify his position as a leading driver for Red Bull Racing.
