Motorcyclist taken to hospital after failing to stop
A motorcycle rider was rushed to hospital after colliding with a vehicle in #Bradford last night had failed to stop for the police moments earlier.
Police officers spotted the bike in the #ThorpeEdge of Bradford on Tuesday evening at around 6.15pm.
The vehicle failed to stop for police and shortly after was involved in a crash with a Toyota Prius.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 6.26pm this evening to report a collision between a car and motorcycle on Killinghall Road, Bradford.
"An ambulance and air ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to Leeds General Infirmary by road." Multiple accounts by local residents have suggested the motorcycle may have been followed by the police prior to the collision.
A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police has said: "Officers sighted a stolen motorbike in the Thorpe Edge area yesterday evening at around 6.15pm.
"The motorbike then failed to stop for police.
"A short while later it was involved in a road traffic collision with a vehicle on Killinghall Road.
"The motorbike rider, a 19-year-old male, was taken to hospital suffering serious but not life-threatening injuries.
"There were no injuries to the driver of the Toyota Prius vehicle.
"The road reopened at 2.32am this morning.
"Enquiries are ongoing.”
Police continue to appeal for information and anyone who saw anything should call 101 and quite log 1385.
