The Big Trail is a 1930 widescreen film starring John Wayne in his first major role and directed by Raoul Walsh.
The Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry. The film contains many scenes with Sign Language.
