NANAIMO -- Float planes coming in for a landing in Nanaimo could dock at one of the most technologically advanced terminals on the west coast.
Concluded last month renovations at Nanaimo's Seair Seaplane terminal installed two electronic lifts, which bring the amphibious planes above the waves.
"We own docks in two locations and operate as several more," said Seair Operations manager Terry Heburt. "This is the one we want to put at the forefront. The one we want to showcase."
The dual lift dock is one of a kind, Seair management say it is the first terminal of its kind on the western seaboard.
