Hey there Fishizens! Welcome back to Go Fishing NOW! Your #1 source on the internet for videos on all things fishing. We here at Go Fishing NOW have put together another list of 5 more best fishing spots in the US. Let us know if you agree!
Number 5. Lake Tahoe, California and Nevada
Salmon, brown trout, rainbow trout, and lake trout all call this lake home. This picturesque lake and surrounding landscape are phenomenal to fish from, so the big question is when can we go? ASAP is always the answer in our opinion when it comes to fishing!
Number 4. Bighorn River, Montana
For Fly Fishing enthusiasts, this large river should be at the top of your list to visit! Bighorn River is home to a lot of brown trout, but there are plenty of large rainbow trout to be caught as well. Because the river flows through private property and Crow Tribal lands, there are certain areas of this awesome fishing find where you will not be allowed to cast.
Many anglers stay at nearby campgrounds and fish from there. It makes for a relaxing and fun-filled trip in this Big Sky part of the country.
Number 3. Lake of the Woods, Minnesota
Many fishermen consider Minnesota to be the place to go to catch Walleye. While some fishermen do enjoy the challenge this fish presents to being caught, many are more focused on the prize: delicious and firm white fish meat! The huge size of the Walleyes, appropriately named Minnesota’s states fish, brings in numerous anglers, and many say they enjoy the scenery just as much!
Lake of the Woods is a massive lake and is well known for its ice fishing, so you will have to pack the gear to keep yourself safe and comfortable if you want to create an unforgettable experience.
The summer months are just as good for fishing on this lake, but there will likely be a few more fishermen there to join you.
And you will even have to compete with some anglers from the sky! Bald Eagles love to fish in this area and have been known to steal a fish or 2!
Number 2. Chesapeake Bay, Maryland
The Chesapeake Bay has got perfect conditions for the Maryland crabs and Striped Bass.
With its brackish waters, the bay is home to many fish varieties like the bluefish, speckled trout, flounder, and croaker! This is one of the best fishing spots in the world for the amount of fish in one location. Over 70 percent of striped bass from the Atlantic are born in this bay, so you shouldn’t need to worry about not catching a fish... or two or three!
Make sure you have your fishing license up to date since you are going to be catching some serious fish once you start casting!

Number 1. Kobuk River, Alaska
In Alaska, the Kobuk river is over 200 miles long and home to a variety of fish that anglers of all experience levels love to catch! Although you may want to leave this one to those with a little more fishing time under their belt if you’re new to this sport.
Some of the fish to be caught here are arctic grayling, lake trout, arctic char, northern pike, and the prized Sheefish. This fish is the largest member of the whitefish family and often cited to be much larger and harder to land than the popular Alaska King Salmon so many fishermen travel to this state to catch.
The further north you travel, the bigger the Sheefish grow! However, you will probably need a guide to experience the full adventure that the Kobuk River has to offer. Just remember to wear a lot of warm clothes! It’s going to be cold this close to the Arctic!
