There are only 3 steps you need to take to become a medical billing expert…
#1 you really just need to learn and master the basics. and what that looks like is… how to verify benefits and calculate how much the insurance and patient will pay, quickly but accurately enter and submit timely claims and follow up on outstanding balances
#2 be willing to network. that’s simply telling people you know that you have this skillset. you would be surprised by how many people go through all of this hard work and don’t even apply jobs.
#3 prioritize continuing education. this doesn’t mean you have to go to college, instead you can pursue certification which holds more weight than a college degree in this industry.
