One of the most popular beaches in Thassos is Paradise Beach (Paralia Paradise, Paradeisos). It got its prestigious name due to its exotic beauty and the surrounding hills with lush vegetation, which resemble a landscape like somewhere in Thailand.
Paradise Beach is located on the east coast of Thassos between the resorts of Kinira (in the north) and Giannis Loukas (in the south). It is about 11 kilometers to the important recreation center of Skala Potamias, to the capital Thassos/Limenas about twice as far.
The sandy beach of Paradise (300 meters long and 20 to 50 meters wide) very slowly sinks into the green and blue water, reminiscent of exotic destinations. The amazing atmosphere is completed by the hump of the island of Kinira, which peeks out of the Thracian Sea (part of the Aegean Sea) to the northeast.

Access to Paradise Beach from the main road is easy and you can even park there. The beach includes an organized part with extensive services such as sunbeds with umbrellas, taverns, a beach volleyball court or an offer of water sports. In the past, thanks to its hidden location, the beach was a paradise for naturists. They still use it a lot today, but they moved more to its jagged, rocky edge in the north.
