Rivrston, Pitawala Pahtana is one of the main access points to the Knuckles Mountain Range - Sri Lanka. It is the northern entrance to the Knuckels Reserve. There are three main routes to this place. Most common and easiest one is the Matale, Rattota Route. The distance is about 31km from Matale town. You can also reach here form Dambulla or Mahiyanganaya (Dambulla – Mahiyangana road). This road is going through Pallegama. From there you have to take the Illukkubura road.
