In this video we answer the question: why is my dog shaking? You may be wondering what is wrong with my dog, why are they shaking and trembling? Dogs can shake or shiver for a lot of different reasons: if they’re stressed or scared (your dog is shaking and panting), in pain (your dog may quiver their back legs and tremble), too cold (your dog is shivering and your dog looks cold), are dreaming (if asleep), are seizuring (dog convulsions), have been poisoned, or if they have a disease called Addison’s disease which is an endocrine (hormonal) disorder. You want to first decide if it’s something you can deal with yourself, or if it warrants a trip to your veterinarian. If your dog has had multiple bouts of shaking or they seem really distressed, it’s likely a sign that you need to go to a vet.
