Dukkha is usually translated as “suffering,” and it sits at the heart of the Buddha’s four noble truths—which boil down to (1) dukkha exists, (2) dukkha arises from causes, and (3) we can end dukkha (4) by following the Buddha’s path to awakening.
How we wake up is through learning spiritual and mindful practices. Meditation and contemplation show us the doorway to transcend the endless suffering that one can experience on their life journey.
