If you would like to see an example of what can happens at a Family Group Conference, then please watch this short animation. It was made by a local artist who worked with our young service users and an FGC advocate to create a 'play dough' family who decided to have an FGC.
In these scenes the family review some of the day to day challenges they face and during their private family time come up with some practical solutions to change things for the better. It highlights how an FGC ensures that the views, wishes and feelings of everyone, especially children and young people are listened to and considered so that together a family can come up with a safe and workable plan for the future.
