Rahul Gandhi tweeted a photo with Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya on Thursday evening, all smiles and their arms linked in harmony, indicating that the fight for the chief minister's job in at least one state was over. Kamal Nath is likely to be named chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, a decision that his younger rival Jyotiraditya Scindia apparently accepted after marathon meetings. The race remains open in Rajasthan, where Ashok Gehlot is the leadership's favourite but state Congress chief Sachin Pilot has put up a strong fight.
