This healthy turmeric chicken recipe is tasty and easy to make. A perfect meal for lunch or dinner.

INGREDIENTS:
3 chicken thighs
3 medium sized onions
1 garlic bulb
4 medium sized potatoes
¼ bunch of coriander
1 teaspoon sea salt
¼ flat teaspoon black pepper
1 flat teaspoon turmeric
2 tablespoons olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fill a large pot with water, add the chicken thighs and bring to a boil. Cook for 30 minutes and then pour out the water but leave the chicken in the pot.
Chop the onions in to strips and peel the garlic (leave the cloves whole).
Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a wide pot and fry the onions on a low flame for about 20 minutes until it becomes translucent. Stir occasionally.
In the meanwhile, peel and slice the potatoes.
When the onion is translucent, add the garlic and fry for an additional minute. Add 2 cups of boiling water and the spices: salt pepper and turmeric. Stir and bring to a boil.
Add the chicken and potatoes to the pot, if necessary, add more water.
Cover the pot with a lid and cook for 1 hour. Check occasionally to make sure there are enough liquids and turn over the chicken thighs halfway through.
Add the chopped coriander and cook for another 15 minutes.
It's recommended to serve the dish with a side of white rice and vegetable salad.
