Scala is a supremely powerful language, implementing many useful functional abstractions and blending them almost seamlessly with OOP. This great merging of 2 paradigms, however, can lead to some nuances of FP going unnoticed by the uninitiated. In this talk, Modestas will describe how learning Haskell gives a lean, unfiltered FP experience which eases later transition to Scala.
