A sermon delivered by C.H. Spurgeon, Lord's Day morning 25th December 1859 at the Exeter Hall.
Spurgeon here approaches a familiar text in an original way. He focuses upon the words: "Unto us a child is born, Unto us a Son is given...". Many preachers seek to re-assure the hearer that they are safe and secure. We notice that here the preacher seeks to let Scripture speak for itself. His desire was to help the listener to look deep within their own souls to see if they are truly converted.
