This clutch bypass harness and clutch stop decreases the amount of load applied to the clutch system and the load applied to the thrust bearings. By decreasing the amount of load on these components, you decreases the wear to these components.

This works on VW MK5/6 Golf, GTI, Jetta, Eos, New Beetle, JSW, Rabbit
This works on Audi A3 and TT.
