It is so sad the main reasons they were driven to extinction in the early 20s, were deforestation and their pretty feathers for decoration!
We were so irresponsible for other earthlings...but I am glad many New Zealand conservation and wildlife center, where animals and birds have a relatively freer environment than most of their fellow zoo habitants, and the people are telling the not-so-good stories to educate the younger generations.
