One of our favorite places to duck hunt are beaver swamps. They seem to be a magnet for wood ducks and mallards. That is exactly what we found on this early season hunt. Brady, my dad, and I head out to one of our private locations and found it loaded with birds. We had ducks flying around all morning, but with now ind and a high sun, we struggled to finish birds. We scratched away at a few and enjoyed the show that the geese put on pouring into the swamp. It looks like we will be back here for goose season!
