hi I'm Naomi from Immanuel Tours and today i'm going to be talking about how to pay for things while you are in Israel. Israel's currency is the shekels one Shekel is roughly about 30 cents in u.s. dollars and they look like this. many places in Israel will accept two US dollars in cash however your change will come back in Shekels. but to be extra sure that you're able to purchase anything anywhere in israel I highly suggest exchanging some money into Shekels upon arrival. you can withdraw money from the ATMs using your bank cards. credit cards are widely accepted including visas and mastercards if you have an American Express card some of those smaller businesses may not accept it and so if you have an American Express card make sure to bring some extra cash just to make sure that you are able to purchase things while you are there also always keep smaller bills around so that you can tip a small tip can go a long way in terms of service and kindness please give this video a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe to this channel for more informative videos please leave a comment below if you have any questions or comments or suggestions for new video topics that you would like to see on this channel don't forget to add us on Instagram and Facebook for the latest news from us that's it for this video and I'll see you in the next one
