Pink Martini performs "Amado Mio" with lead singer, China Forbes, on vocals at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon, 2005.
Excerpted from Pink Martini's concert DVD release "Discover the World," this performance was filmed live in concert at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland Oregon on December 31, 2005, featuring vocalist China Forbes. "Amado Mio" is a signature Pink Martini cover song, a staple of the band's live performances, and the first song on the band's debut album "Sympathique." The song was written by Doris Fisher and Allan Roberts, and was originally heard in the classic 1946 noir film "Gilda." This version features Thomas Lauderdale on the piano, China Forbes on vocals, with a trumpet solo by Gavin Bondy.
