Turn up for Recovery is a charitable movement raising awareness of abstinence-based recovery, tackling the stigma of addiction and helping make treatment affordable to people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Founded by Melia Clapton, she announced the movement during Eric Clapton’s 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festival.

CHRIS STAINTON:

Joined his first band in 1961 and has been working with Eric Clapton since 1979. Chris has appeared at the 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festivals. Best known for his work on keyboards, he is also a bass player and composer. In 1966, Chris joined Joe Cocker's Grease Band on bass. Two years later, Joe asked him to switch to keyboards. In 1972, he launched his own band which lasted for four years. Since the mid-seventies, Chris has been a much in demand for recording sessions and touring. He has worked with a veritable who's who of the music business including Pete Townshend, Ringo Starr, Bryan Ferry, Peter Frampton, David Gilmour, Andy Fairweather Low and Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings.

Is a Nashville-based singer / songwriter and inductee to the Songwriter's Hall of Fame. Twice nominated for Grammy Awards, she has released thirteen solo albums and written seven #1 hits. Beth's songs have been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Bette Midler, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Michael McDonald, Keb Mo’, Roberta Flack, Waylon Jennings, Indigo Girls, and Faith Hill. Beth performed at the 2nd Annual “Women Rock! Girls and Guitars” special on Lifetime, singing backing vocals with Emmylou Harris, performing with the ensemble on a cover version of Take It To The Limit, and on "There's a Light" with Emmylou Harris, Pat Benatar, Sheryl Crow and Shea Seger singing back-up. Sheila E. is an Emmy and Grammy-nominated singer, drummer and percussionist and actress. She picked up drumsticks at age of three while watching her father, legendary percussionist Pete Escovedo, rehearse for his gigs with Tito Puente and Carlos Santana. Forming her first band as a teenager, she toured with Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie, and Prince. Sheila launched her solo career in 1984, the same year she recorded Purple Rain with Prince. She would tour and record with him through 1989. Her debut single, "The Glamorous Life" topped the dance charts and other hits like "The Belle of St. Mark," "Sister Fate," "A Love Bizarre" and "Hold Me" followed. Learn more about her at [ Ссылка ]
