This was filmed when there was engineering works from Rainham to Gillingham, so services were reduced over the weekend. Trains were running and terminating at Rainham from Dover and Ramsgate. When the train left, the signalman switched the points and shone a green lamp to the driver through an open window of the signal box. The signal box has since been closed and is now abandoned.
