People from all walks of society paid tribute to #FatherStanSwamy, whose funeral service was held at St Peter’s Church, #Bandra, on Tuesday. A Jesuit priest and a human rights activist, Father Swamy, who suffered from Parkinson’s disease, was jailed under the anti-terror UAPA law in the Bhima-Koregaon case. He died on Monday in judicial custody. The 84-year-old spent his last few months incarcerated as an undertrial. His repeated pleas for bail on health grounds were never granted.
