Using our Westinghouse Hayden ceiling fan Del Mar Fans and Lighting shows you how to change the frequency on your ceiling fan's remote control. Here's a list of steps to follow.
1. Make sure to turn the power off of your ceiling fan at the circuit breaker.
2. Detach your canopy from the mounting bracket by removing all screws.
3. Retrieve the receiver from the mounting bracket and locate the dip switch settings.
a. The dip switch settings look like four sliding buttons.
b. Using a ballpoint pen/small screwdriver to slide the buttons to create a new frequency combination.
4. Place the receiver back into your mounting bracket and attach the canopy to the mounting bracket.
5. Remove the back of your remote control and remove the battery.
6. Locate and remove the small panel covering your dip switches.
7. Use a ballpoint pen/small screwdriver to slide the buttons to match your receiver's frequency.
8. Place back panel and remote back.
9. Restore power to your ceiling fan.
10. Verity settings are correct by turning ceiling fan on/off.
