Update to Lincoln Station Officer Involved Shooting.

The Douglas County Coroner’s Office has positively identified the two deceased as:

David Strain age 31 and Clarissa Daws age 29, both from Pueblo

The attached video shows just a small portion of the over 9-minute gunfire exchange between the two suspects and Douglas County deputies. It provides a small glimpse into the split-second decisions deputies have to make.

“It is quite obvious that the deputies gave the suspects every opportunity to follow commands; put their hands up and get out of the car, to which instead they chose to start firing on my deputies,” said Sheriff Spurlock.
