Habtom Samuel of New Mexico got knocked down within the first 1k of the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships, and then lost his shoe at the 5k mark. He would finish the race in second place with only one shoe! Habtom talks about the moment in the race where he lost his shoe, the decision to go on without it, and trading singlets with Graham Blanks on the podium.
