MultiMaterial-Welding® is an innovative fastening technology that uses ultrasonic energy to form a friction-locked and form-fit bond in porous materials, sheet metal structures, sandwich materials, injection molded parts and compression molded parts. To achieve this, thermoplastic elements are used to join components.
This comes with a number of unique benefits, for example, the connections are significantly stronger than with many other fastening methods. The processing is clean, as no additional materials or pre-treatment of surfaces are required, and the technology is used in a wide range of industrial processes and in other industries, such as medicine and the furniture industry.
