'Tarney Spencer Band' - 'No Time To Lose' It was never a top 40 hit but it did chart twice on the Billboard charts The first time in 1979 reaching #87 but two years after the band broke, in 1981, the song was picked up my MTV and reissued by A&M as a single. As a result the song charted again but unfortunately only did slightly better at #74.
The original song is on their 1979 "Run For Your Life" album." but surprisingly has never been released on CD. They recorded three albums but this is the song they are most known for.
Trivia - Alan Tarney also produced the song "We Don't Talk Anymore" for Cliff Richard.
Brief bio
Alan Tarney met Trever Spencer while playing in an Australian group called Johnny Broome and The Handels. In 1969 Alan and Trevor moved to the UK. They formed a band called Quartet, releasing 2 singles on Decca and recording an unreleased album. They began working as a duo in 1975.
