We couldn’t run MIF without the dedication, energy and enthusiasm of our amazing volunteers. MIF19 saw 507 volunteers contribute over 15,000 hours, from helping out with preparations to greeting the public at our events, our diverse and supportive community of volunteers are one of our greatest assets – passionate about the arts, the Festival and our city.

Manchester International Festival (MIF) is the world’s first festival of original, new work and special events, staged every two years in Manchester, UK. MIF launched in 2007 as an artist-led festival presenting new works from across the spectrum of performing arts, visual arts and popular culture.
