This is a recording of a press conference hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to discuss the notice of intent to sue the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) filed on May 18, 2020 for its failure to require Pennsylvania and New York to develop implementation plans that will achieve the 2025 Bay restoration goals. Partners in the suit include Maryland Watermen’s Association, Bobby Whitescarver (a farmer from Swoope, Virginia), and Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Steuart Pittman, Anne Arundel County Executive was featured in this press call.
This call also featured Attorneys General in Maryland (Brian Frosh), Virginia (Mark Herring), and the District of Columbia (Karl Racine) who filed a separate notice that they intend to sue EPA as well.
