The story of Indian Power transmission

Electricity is an essential part of modern life and the basic requirement for all kind of sectors. It has became backbone of Industrial society. To distribute the electricity to each and every corner of India, Transmission lines are fundamental instruments to supply the power. MEIL is the leading player of India in the execution of transmission lines projects.

It is executing 37 power and transmission lines projects across the country, which is the rarest feat in India. It is executing the transmission lines projects in 8 different states such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gujarat and Rajasthan to supply the power, minimize power losses and maintain the stability and reliability of the power system.

It is not only executing the power transmission lines but also establishing different types of substations like Air and gas insulation. As of now, It has completed the transmission lines with the length of 2676 circuit kilo meters and 3000 km circuit kilometres of lines are under progress. It also completed 23 substations across the country and 27 power substations are under progress.

This track record shows that , MEIL is one of the top power transmission executing entity with its expertise and dedicative workforce and skill set. Coming to the key projects, It has executed the power sub station for Ultra mega Solar park in Anantapur of Andhra Pradesh. This project is one of the India’s largest solar power project. It also providing power supply through transmission lines to Kaleshwaram Project , which is world’s largest multi stage lift irrigation scheme.
