The spread of COVID-19 across the globe is evidence of how closely interconnected we are despite our geographical boundaries. This reinforces reminders from the Ministry of Health that despite our last case of COVID-19 being recorded on June 4, the continued spread of COVID-19 globally justifies our need for continued vigilance and precaution locally.
The Director of PAHO, Dr. Carissa Etienne on June 27 advised the Caribbean to prepare to manage COVID-19 for the next two years. Public health protocols have been recommended for every sector as we implement the phased re-opening of the economy.
