Berkeley City College hosted a Mental Health Summit event on April 12, 2024. The theme of the summit was "Creating Safe Spaces for Queer Faces: Standing in Solidarity with the LBGTQ+ community". DeAngela Cooks, AMFT, presented the opening keynote: "What is a Safe Space?"
