The Empress Splendor Tree (our Paulownia Elongata hybrid) is a non-invasive, hybrid species, that can grow in many parts of the United States and Canada, where its primary use is lumber. More commonly it is referred to as Paulownia (Empress). World Tree works with farmers in Central and North America to cultivate this fast-growing, light, durable hardwood tree for lumber harvest in 8-10 years. After harvest, World Tree, our investors, and (most importantly) our farmers gain from the sale of the lumber.
