Footage of June sucker raised in a hatchery being introduced into Utah Lake. The stocking of hatchery raised individuals into Utah Lake has been an important action to recovery the threatened June sucker. From 1994 to 2021, over 900,000 June sucker have been stocked into Utah Lake. This action has helped increase the population of June sucker in Utah Lake and was a key factor in the species recently being downlisted from endangered to threatened status. Stocking efforts continue to help bolster the population and move towards complete recovery of the June sucker. Video was shot by Scott Root with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources in May 2020.
