This week, we visit the beautiful gardens of Trebah on the Cornwall Coast. The garden encompasses 26 acres of lush plantings, including many tree ferns and subtropicals that would be difficult to grow in other parts of England. The garden leads to a private beach where you can enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Created in 1820 by Charles Fox, the garden has since had a few different owners, falling into disrepair in the late 1940s. The last owners, Tony and Eira Hibbert, have fully restored and enhanced the garden. Trebah was opened to the public in 1987 and is now part of the Trebah Charitable Trust after being gifted by the Hibberts.
