BeachPatrol 3280-3284's #cleanupaustralia event at Thunder Point (2022) carpark. A place where people like to go sit in their cars and chuck rubbish out their windows.
Despite the wind and cold we had 28 volunteers turn up to remove 81.5 kg, 5393 pieces of litter.
Most common items were beer stubbies, takeaway food packaging (McDonalds and KFC) and Cigarette Butts.
More disturbing than the 37 facemasks we collected was the 53 wipes - gross!
Most interesting finds were 3 Bongs, 31 condom packets, a pregnancy test, a photograph & a set of keys.
