A classic sweet from the Gujarati cuisine, here's an easy and quick recipe to make it in your home kitchen!
DOODH PAK
Ingredients
4 cups milk
2 tbsps soaked Kolam rice
½ cup sugar
2 tbsps slivered pistachios
2 tbsps slivered almonds
2 tbsps charoli
½ tsp green cardamom powder
Method
1. Bring milk to boil in deep non-stick pan, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. Add rice and mix and cook till the mixture comes to a boil, reduce the heat and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes or till the rice is cooked completely.
3. Add sugar, pistachios, almonds, charoli and green cardamom powder and mix. Cook further for 10-15 minutes on low heat, mixing in between. Take the pan off the heat.
4. Transfer into serving bowls and serve.
