Croatia tends to be on every savvy traveler’s to-do list. Dubrovnik has long been a draw, but that stunning seaside city is a mere scratch on the surface of what Croatia has on offer.
I have been to Croatia a few times now. If you have yet to go, make it a point to visit, when you can. There are many can’t miss spots and several off-the-beaten-path gems. The latter is in this video.
On this particular trip, I visited a lesser-known area called Losinj. Historically, Losinj has been favored by Venetians and royals who visited the island due to it’s healing properties.
It’s not an easy place to access, which is part of its appeal. You are hard-pressed to see crowds of tourists. Many of those visiting today are from Croatia.
On this idyllic island, sailing is a daily occurrence, seaside dining is commonplace, and history, old-world architecture, and local charm is everywhere.
