With the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony the one and only Melissa Manchester in great and powerful voice on one of her many signature hits 'Through The Eyes Of Love'. It is nearly 40 years ago that I first heard the beautiful voice of Melissa Manchester and this song was probably the first ('Don't Cry Out Loud' was a hit around the time that the 'Ice Castles' movie and soundtrack were issued) hit of hers that I encountered. Her music has been with me ever since and I've had the joy of seeing my idol twice and on the second occasion getting to meet and even hug my favourite female singer of all time! This clip (thanks to the LA Jewish Symphony for posting the clip) is dedicated to my youtube friend That 70's Girl who is all heart and who enjoys great music like this. I know that Melissa and this song came into her head recently; and I posted another recording of the singer which she saw, and then I serendipitously found this live performance which is part of a two song post that the Symphony posted but didn't name the songs in the title, and I just happened to click on it and low and behold the very song that my youtube buddy had floating in her head this week.
