How do I know I have an underactive pelvic floor?
If you have any of the following symptoms, you may have an underactive pelvic floor:
- Inability to achieve erection or orgasm
- Flaccid erections
- Leaking urine with activity, for example during running, jumping, coughing and sneezing
• a sudden and urgent need to pass urine
• leakage of stool from the back passage
• erectile dysfunction (the pelvic floor helps you to maintain erections).
What causes an underaactive pelvic floor?
As you age, you lose muscle mass. Men over 50 tend to have issues with pelvic floor. Also, men who have had prostate cancer treatment suffer from this condition as well.
How long before I see results?
Do this workout once a day, ideally twice a day for 6-8 weeks to see positive results. If you’re new to fitness, you may feel some soreness after doing some of these workouts.
