The Berlin-based genrefluid band The Somnambulist were just starting to hit the road for a tour in Europe to promote the new album "Hypermnesiac" released on February 2020, when the lockdown began.

The record has been described by the underground music press as "superb", "impressive" and "excellent", an "all-inclusive musical dimension" "with a lot of meaning, fine artistry and a warm and wonderful sound", which "tests the listeners' limits and urges them to ask for more and put all their attention" and represents "an approach to composing music that is completely different than any other band"; "an essential piece not only within the band's discography" and "an enrichment in the landscape of inimitable music" that "does not deserve to go unnoticed."

During these challenging times, the music of The Somnambulist is there to reclaim freedom in all its forms.
