Wondering What To Do If A Car Dealership Rips You Off?
In this video, we’ll be going over three ways that you can go about resolving the issue with the dealership.
The first way you can resolve the issue with the dealership is to simply talk to the dealership management. Believe it or not, people working at the dealership are human too, and they may have just made an honest mistake.
Get in contact with the manager and see if you can work something out first before getting into an argument with them or taking legal action.
If they realize their mistake and make things right for you, then problem solved! But if they’re being defensive and deny doing anything wrong, then this is where things might get a bit stressful. Because now, it means that you have to take further action to sort things out.
If things didn’t work out with the dealership manager, you might have to bring it up to the next person in line - which probably means the dealership owner. Usually, when you bring things up with the higher-ups, they typically don’t want to spend time dealing with you since they probably have other things to worry about.
If this is the case, they’ll want to make the problem go away as soon as possible, which means fixing your issue. As long as you’re being reasonable, they’ll likely want to work things out with you.
However, if the first two options didn’t work out, this means that, unfortunately, you probably have to take legal action. Now when people hear the term “legal action”, they get scared because they see lawyers getting involved and legal terms that they don’t understand, but don’t worry. The process isn’t as scary as people make it out to be.
When you hire a law firm, the attorney taking on your case will explain everything to you so you know exactly what’s going on and what to expect. In cases against dealerships, you can expect your attorney to lay out some options you can go after such as getting your money back or returning your car, and getting out of the contract. It really depends on your case, so it’s recommended that you talk with a lawyer first to discuss the best options for your case.
