In today's Oct. 7 weather briefing with meteorologist Sven Sundgaard, the focus is on the powerful landfall of Hurricane Delta in the Yucatan Peninsula, with the tropical cyclone's path then turning toward the Gulf Coast.
In Minnesota, things are much quieter, though warmth is the trend this week and it's possible that the Twin Cities could see another 80-degree reading on Friday. It's rather unusual to have multiple 80-degree days in Minnesota in October, so consider this chance a bit of a treat.
Meanwhile, it's dry with fire conditions still in place across much of the state. But Sven says rain is in the forecast, maybe even some decent amounts by early next week.
